Joseph Russo is a Super Lawyers rated personal injury attorney with over fifteen (15) years of trial experience. Attorney Russo attended St. John’s University School of Law in New York City after completing his undergraduate studies. At St. John’s, Attorney Russo developed his passion for trial advocacy. He was selected to compete as a member of the school’s nationally ranked Mock Trial team. He won several competitions and was mentored by some of the most distinguished homicide prosecutors in New York City.

After law school, Attorney Joseph Russo accepted a position at the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office as a prosecutor. In only three years, he compiled an impressive body of work with over ten (10) first chair trials. Additionally, he second chaired several homicide trials and indicted over 100 serious felony offenses.

Private Practice:

After the DA’s Office, Attorney Joseph Russo entered private practice as a personal injury lawyer and relocated to Massachusetts. There, he was given an opportunity to manage the Injury Law Center’s satellite office in Westford, MA. He immediately established a reputation for being a zealous personal injury advocate for his clients. Notably, Attorney Joseph Russo won eight of his first ten (8/10) jury trials since relocating to the region. He also secured countless high six figure results for his clients. Most importantly, he helped his injured clients get through some of the most arduous circumstances in their lives. He did this with grace and empathy.

High Stakes Litigation:

In 2016, Attorney Joseph Russo secured a $5.5 million settlement for a client whose leg was shattered by a commercial truck. Notably, the result was one of the highest in NH that year. Attorney Russo worked tirelessly to retain some of the best experts in the country in their respective fields. These included renown accident reconstruction experts and top tier Boston trauma surgeons. Moreover, he hired a professional videographer to construct a “day in the life video” which had a resounding impact on the insurance company evaluating the personal injury claim. At mediation, Attorney Russo retained a structured settlement broker who was able to compose an annuity investment package for his client. Not only were her needs met, but it also created generational wealth for her family.

This case was Attorney Russo’s first exposure to high-stakes litigation. Evidently, he passed with flying colors and never looked back. He has since gone on to establish himself as one of the premier truck accident lawyers in the region.

Firm Ownership:

In 2016, Attorney Joseph Russo acquired the Injury Law Center. He built the practice up to where it was consistently handling cases in the seven and high six figure range. Some examples include $1.8 million recovered for a moped operator who was strangled by a low hanging utility wire. $1.75 million for a patient who sustained catastrophic nerve damage during a routine shoulder operation. $1 million for a motorist who was T-Boned by a commercial vehicle requiring a cervical fusion. And $800,000 for a teenager who died by suicide while being negligently supervised by a school.

In 2020, Attorney Joseph Russo teamed up Attorney Matthew Maalouf who was later named a partner. Joe and Matt, along with their dedicated support staff, take a “team approach” to working on their high-stakes litigation cases. In 2022, the firm re-branded to the Granite Law Group, PLLC. The decision to rebrand was simple. We wanted to communicate that we are one of the elite firms in New Hampshire.

Above all, our team of personal injury lawyers exclusively represent individual clients and their families who have sustained serious injuries. As stated previously, we are personal injury lawyers and catastrophic car accident lawyers who fight against insurance companies, hospitals, and large corporations.
